ECTC Announces Strategic MOU with IECA to Advance Erosion and Sediment Control Industry
(Washington, DC) - The Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), formalizing a collaborative relationship between two leading organizations in the erosion and sediment control industry.
The agreement outlines a shared commitment to advancing the industry through coordinated efforts in education, technical resources, and advocacy. By combining strengths, ECTC and IECA aim to enhance public awareness of industry standards, expand access to knowledge, and promote effective solutions for erosion and sediment control challenges.
“This MOU reflects ECTC’s ongoing commitment to fostering partnerships that will elevate best practices across the industry and provide opportunities for both organizations,” said Diane Smith, Executive Director of ECTC. “ECTC and IECA have worked together informally for many years, and this agreement builds on that strong foundation.” The IECA has long been recognized for its positive impact on the industry through education, professional development, and global outreach. As a recognized leader in performance-based specifications and material standards, ECTC looks forward to aligning efforts with IECA.
The Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) is a nonprofit industry group representing leading manufacturers, suppliers, testing labs and other professionals in erosion and sediment control. ECTC develops performance standards, uniform testing procedures, and installation guidance for hydraulic erosion control products (HECPs), rolled erosion control products (RECPs), and sediment control technologies (SCTs). Recently, ECTC has expanded its focus to include additional technologies, promoting industry leadership, education, and environmental stewardship.
